Rob's Custom PCs (RCPs), established July 2005, is currently a single man operation out of Orange County, Southern California.  Its owner, Robert T Barker, has been building personal computers since 2001, his senior year of high school.  He began building and repairing PCs as favors for both family and friends.  After the successful completion of 6 personal computers he decided to make his educational hobby a part-time business.  Since the opening of RCPs, Rob has successfully built 40+ PCs, many of which have been implemented at local outpatient physical therapy clinics, and serviced upwards of 50+ PCs.  RCP, a Registered Microsoft Partner Member, is working to improve his knowledge of the wide array of products offered by Microsoft. 

EDUCATION

FORMAL: 

• High School - 6 months C++ Computer Programming, 6 months Business & Finance, and 1 year ROP Computer Repair @ Cypress High School  ROP Computer Repair Certification achieved.  Graduated Cypress High in top 5% of class.
• College -

California State University, Long Beach Graduate, 2007:

B.S. Kinesiology, option in Exercise Science (my ultimate plan is to become a Physical Therapist where I can utilize my wide range of computer skills to improve the efficiency of patient care).

SELF-TAUGHT:

• Hardware and Software sides of Networking for both Home and Business use.
• Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP, and Vista.
• Office 2000 - 2007 (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Currently self-teaching Microsoft Visual Basic Applications (VBA) & Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro to design interactive forms.
